Can you make project outcomes more predictable with data and AI?

KSE is looking for a Project Controller who brings clarity and control to budgets, schedules, margins and forecasts — and who is eager to put AI into practice to make project control smarter and more efficient.

Our projects are becoming increasingly complex and data-driven. That’s why we’re looking for someone who doesn’t just look at the numbers in hindsight, but uses them to look ahead. You identify emerging risks, understand what they mean for project performance, and help project teams take timely action to keep projects on track.

The role

As a Project Controller, you work closely with project managers, Finance, Operations and management. You provide reliable, actionable insights and help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with the desired results. You monitor project budgets, analyse variances between budget, actuals and forecasts, identify financial and operational risks, and translate project data into clear reports and dashboards. You work with information from systems such as ERP, time-tracking systems and Azure DevOps.

An important part of this role is the practical application of AI. At KSE, AI tools such as Sam and the KSE AI Hub are already available. You will explore how these tools can support better project control — for example, by mapping project progress, identifying trends in costs, hours and schedules, preparing management reports, and making lessons learned more accessible. AI supports your work, but it does not replace your judgement. You remain responsible for analysis, validation and advice.

KSE offers you a broad role at the intersection of Finance, projects, data and AI. You will have the opportunity to further professionalise project control and apply AI in a practical way to reporting, analysis and decision-making. You will join a technical, project-driven organisation where knowledge, customer value and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do.

Who you are

You are practical, hands-on and proactive, and you know how to get things done. You take ownership and step up when needed.

In addition, we are looking for:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree-level education, for example in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering & Management, or Data Analytics.
Experience in project control, business control or project administration, and understand topics such as budgeting, forecasting, margin analysis and post-project analysis. Affinity with technial projects is a plus.
Experience with Excel and reporting or dashboarding tools. Experience with Azure DevOps, Power BI, ERP systems or AI tools is a plus.
You are analytical, precise and critical-minded. You bring structure to complex project information and are not afraid to raise issues and discuss deviations at an early stage.
You enjoy working collaboratively while also being confident in constructively challenging the organisation when needed.

What we offer

As an employer, we offer a professional, supportive, and stimulating environment where your talent truly makes a difference:

A role at a company that combines the personal feel of a smaller organisation with the opportunities of an established market player. You will enjoy direct communication, personal contact and the chance to make a real difference.
Plenty of room to grow and develop your career in different directions
Working in a dynamic environment where your personal development matters.
A competitive salary.
27 vacation days and 13 additional leave (ADV) days.
A range of fun activities with colleagues, such as the pub quiz and our annual Christmas event.
