As a Simulation Engineer, you predict the behaviour of production lines at our customers’ facilities. The starting point of the simulations is the collection and analysis of available data from implemented solutions, which can be used as input for the simulation models. Based on this data — which we visualise in Power BI — you build a reliable simulation model. This model is used not only to validate the concept, but also to demonstrate to prospective customers what KSE has to offer.

The role

With your simulations, you predict the behaviour of production lines at our customers’ facilities. The starting point of the simulations is the collection and analysis of available data from implemented solutions, which can be used as input for the simulations. Based on this data — which is visualised in Power BI — you are able to build a reliable simulation model. In addition to validating the concept, this model is used to show prospective customers what KSE has to offer. In this role, you will be part of a team of experienced technical consultants who work together with you to shape the solutions. Analysing and simulating the output of these solutions is your area of expertise. You look beyond the theoretical analysis of data and are therefore able to understand the impact of details on the overall process. Our organisation operates in the high-end feed and additives industry.

What you will do at KSE

You perform data analyses and create simulations to optimise existing process solutions.
During the sales process, you develop simulations of new process solutions for our customers using the software tool AnyLogic. In doing so, you work closely with the Area Sales Manager and a multidisciplinary project team to identify customer requirements and shape the solution.
You are involved from start to finish: you interview stakeholders to assess their needs and evaluate both the final process output and the feasibility of the proposed solutions.

Who you are

You have a completed university degree, preferably in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering, with a relevant master's degree (e.g. MSE).
Preferably, you have work experience in process simulation and optimisation.
Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages is required: Java / SQL / DAX.
Familiarity with object-oriented programming is an advantage.
You have an interest in process and production technology, with a focus on efficiency and optimisation.
You are able to communicate and collaborate at different levels.
You are analytical and work in a structured manner, and have a healthy level of persuasiveness.
You have a good knowledge of the Dutch and English language.
You are in possession of a valid category B driving license.

What we offer

As an employer, we offer a professional, supportive, and stimulating environment where your talent truly makes a difference:

A position within a company that is small enough for short communication lines and personal contact, yet large enough to make an impact, holds a strong market position, and offers plenty of growth opportunities.
Enjoyable social activities such as our annual pub quiz and Christmas event.
27 vacation days and 13 additional leave (ADV) days.
Working in a dynamic environment that values and supports your personal development.
