The role

A request for a small modification in an application, a report of a software malfunction that has completely halted production, or two calls from different customers both in need of an immediate solution – these are just a few examples of what your day might look like in this dynamic position! As a Software Service Engineer at KSE - The Batching Experts, you are not only involved in the technical aspects of software but also in setting priorities and communicating these effectively with the customer.

What you will do at KSE

You provide support to our customers – by phone, remotely, and occasionally on-site. On days when you handle customer support calls, you are their first point of contact. If a feed producer contacts us with a system issue, you help them get back up and running as quickly as possible. This often means implementing temporary measures to keep production going – but your work doesn’t stop there! You analyze the problem, identify the root cause, and provide the customer with a permanent solution. Of course, your colleagues are always ready to collaborate and brainstorm when needed.

You assess whether the software solutions developed by our project teams are truly ‘’serviceable’’ and ensure that all information in project handovers is complete. In addition, you offer phone support to customers or colleagues working on-site and provide on-site service yourself when required. You will also participate in the on-call rotation and support system commissioning activities – both on location and remotely.

What we are looking for

You are flexible, customer-oriented, and independent – yet always a true team player with a practical mindset. In addition, you bring:

A completed vocational (MBO) or bachelor’s (HBO) degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics.
A strong knowledge of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage.
Willingness to occasionally travel to our international customers.
Residence within reasonable commuting distance from Bladel.
Experience with modern PLC control systems such as Siemens SIMATIC S7 / PCS7 or Rockwel CLX is a plus.
Knowledge of C# and SQL databases is a plus.
Familiarity with HMI and SCADA systems in industrial networks is a plus.

What we offer

As an employer, we offer a professional, supportive, and stimulating environment where your talent truly makes a difference:

• A position within a company that is small enough for short communication lines and personal contact, yet large enough to make an impact, holds a strong market position, and offers plenty of growth opportunities.
Working in a dynamic environment that values and supports your personal development.
A competitive salary.
27 vacation days and 13 additional leave (ADV) days.
Enjoyable social activities such as our annual pub quiz and Christmas event.
